Abstract:Commemoration is an important way for the Communist Party of China to carry out ideological and political education to mass whose quantity is unspecific. In her one-hundred-year history, the compared with CPC's ideological and political education to mass by commemorative activities presents different characteristics from non-commemorative ones. Comparatively, the educational purpose of the former is highly dependent on the educational significance of the commemorable objects. The more typical the objects are, the more procedural and infectious the activities are. By analyzing a large number of activity examples, it is found that the time and space of ideological and political education to mass also have prominent characteristics. It reflects the opposite unity of the feature of a certain historical period and the special moment of the commemorated objects. Also, the dedicated memorial space and dual-use memorial space show the complementary spatial characteristics in creating a memorial atmosphere and educational content and form.
