The historical initiative provides important assurance for the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and must be carried forward continuously. The historical initiative has an inherent logical structure. Meanwhile, theory, history, practice, and value constitute the four dimensions of its logical system, which are reflected in the inherent principle of following the historical materialism, the continuation of the Party’s glorious tradition in leading the people to create history, the historical rationality of reflecting and summarizing experience and lessons, and the goal of seeking happiness for the people. As for the logical structure, it is assumed that theoretical logic is the forerunner of action, historical logic is the spiritual gene, practical logic is the ideological weapon, and value logic is the spiritual purpose. In this sense, the logic structure constructs a complete spiritual system with rich connotations and distinct levels, which is embodied in the historical achievements of the Party.
