Abstract:Exploring the integration of educator’s spirit into the professional development of ideology and politics teachers in colleges and universities in the context of building a strong educational country is an important issue for the construction of a high-quality teaching force. The educator’s spirit has rich connotations, including political morals, personal moralities, education intelligence, attitudes to academic studies, emotional traits, and the pursuit of spreading truth, etc. These connotations are agreeable to the integration of educator’s spirit into ideology and politics teachers’ professional development in terms of theoretical logic, historical logic, and practical logic, thus reflecting a higher requirement for teachers by the Party in the new era. In this sense, this integration can help to strengthen ideology and politics teachers’ political standpoint, enhance their role in value leadership, strengthen their mission awareness, and realize their professional self-awareness. Therefore, in the context of a strong educational country, this integration should be guaranteed by a firm political stance of serving the country by teaching, thus laying a solid foundation for the career of ideology and politics teachers. Additionally, with the requirement of caring for the life of all people, the professional ideals of ideology and politics teachers are constructed. Besides, the teachers’ ability to cultivate and educate students should be further enhanced. Lastly, holding the belief of dedication, ideology and politics teachers should be willing to be the ladders for their students, thus enhancing their subjective self-awareness.
