Red memories are the historical construction and impression accumulation of the red history of the Communist Party of China, and they are also the collective memory of the Party leading the people to struggle unitedly. In addition, red memories are the collective memory of loving the Party, motherland, and socialism, as well as the historical witness of the red ideals and beliefs and the lofty moral spirit. Moreover, red memories embody profound love of family and nation, such as striving continuously, daring to take responsibility, selfless dedication, and so on. In this sense, they can awakens college students' patriotic consciousness with symbol memories, constructs their patriotic identity with episodic memories, and condense their patriotic strength with value memories, thus highlighting their unique value in cultivating college students' patriotic spirit. In light of the growth reality of college students in the new era, efforts should be made to integrate red memories into classroom teaching and learning and campus cultural activities, to push red memories to empower digital platforms, and to create memory fields. In this way, the educational effectiveness of red memories can be enhanced. Accordingly, college students' patriotism can be cultivated, so that they can grow up as a new generation of the era who can shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.
